Momentos Banamex Program Terms And Conditions General Terms & Conditions

In order to apply for the fixed pricing redemption matrix for airline tickets cardholder must:

 

  • Reserve with more than 21 days in advance.
  • Origination must be from Mexico.
  • Have enough points for the desired flight.
  • Card should be in normal status.

In these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) the following definitions apply:


  • “Program” means this Momentos Banamex i.e. the Rewards program offered by Us to you as described in these Terms and Conditions.
  • “Banamex, We, Our, Us” means El Banco Nacional de México.
  • “You, Your” means the primary cardmember, the person in whose name the Card Account is maintained.
  • “Card” means the Descubre Banamex, Explora Banamex, Conquista Banamex and Beyond® Banamex Cards issued by Us.
  • “Card Account” means the Card issued by Us on which the Program is offered.
  • “Account Terms and Conditions” are the terms and conditions and/or cardmember agreement that govern Your Card Account.
  • “Rewards” means any goods, services, benefits, arrangements or other privileges offered by the Program from time to time based on your Card and may include merchandise, vouchers, cashback, card annual fee waivers, travel and points transfer.
  • "Points" means the points earned through usage of the Card as set out under the Account Terms and Conditions and which may be used to redeem Rewards as determined.
  • “Points Balance” is the then available amount of Points you accrued through usage of the Card. The Points Balance appears on Your statement and at www.banamexrewards.com
  • “Redemption” means the use of Points to obtain a Reward through the Program.
  • Banamex “Working Day” refers to any day on which banks are open for business in Mexico other than Saturday, Sunday and public holidays in Mexico.
  • Cash Rebates – means a statement credit to Your card account.
  • “Points Transfer” is the Redemption of Points in exchange for points or miles at a Participating Travel Loyalty Program.
  • “Participating Travel Loyalty Program” means any participating loyalty program operated by any airline or hotel which is eligible for You to complete a Points Transfer.

Shop At Partners

  • Establishments participating in the program will have at least one POS terminal placed at their location, where you can check your balance (in points and the equivalent in pesos) and make redemptions that are considered as payment. Payments can be made entirely or partially with points. This will depend on the payment policies of each establishment.
  • Likewise, the applicable return policy will vary depending on where the purchase was made. The list of participating merchants may change at any time without notice. For more details visit www.banamexrewards.com
  • To use your points, you must present your credit card at the participating merchant, where you will be asked to show a government-issued ID.
  • Banco Nacional de México, S.A., part of the Grupo Financiero Banamex, do not acquire any obligation in terms of quality, prices and delivery of goods or services offered by participating merchants.

  • The maximum period to report a clarification of your payment with points must be 6 months.
  • When paying with Points, an invoice cannot be issued.

MERCHANDISE

  • Rewards from the merchandise catalog can only be delivered within Mexico.
  • At the time of payment, the total amount of points displayed will include cost of the item, shipping, taxes and duties.
  • Delivery of a Reward redeemed from the merchandise catalog would at the minimum, take 3 to 4 weeks from the date of Redemption.
  • If a Reward redeemed from the merchandise catalog is not sent out from the supplier within 7 days, a status update will be provided to You via email. If such your Reward is not shipped from the supplier within 30 days, Your Redemption will be cancelled and You will be refunded the cost of the Reward in pesos to Your pesos Balance.
  • If a merchandise catalog redeemed Reward is damaged when you receive it, you may return such Reward within 5 days after delivery and in the same condition in which it was received.   • If Rewards have a warranty, they will carry their manufacturer´s warranty and We give no warranty with respect to Rewards provided by third party merchants and furthermore are not responsible for the fulfilment of warranties. We will not respond to obligations of manufacturers or providers of goods and services and any claims in respect of those Rewards should be made with those suppliers or manufacturers. Merchandise shipped to You from outside Mexico from international merchants and therefore require the import of products into the country may lose their warranty upon importation and such products may not have local technical support. Upon agreeing to redeem an item identified as shipped from outside Singapore Mexico, You may forfeit Your rights to relevant warranties.
  • All rewards are subject to availability.
  • Rewards shown on the website may not reflect the exact colors or models. We provide the most accurate information based on what our suppliers have provided. We are not responsible for any misrepresentation of rewards.
  • Points required to redeem rewards are subject to change without notice.

Cash Rewards

  • You may redeem Your Points towards payment of the annual membership fee for Your Card Account in which case, the equivalent amount of such redeemed Points will be credited to your Card Account and will reduce Your Card Account outstanding balance (if any) by the amount of Your annual membership fee.

Travel

Please review the terms, conditions, and notices set forth below. Reward redemption or purchase of travel components constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions, and notices.

2x1 Companion Ticket

  • You will receive the 2x1 companion ticket as a welcome gift upon meeting the point accumulation goal within the first 3 months with your card (starting from the account opening), purchases made or deferred to interest-free months do not accumulate points.
  • You will receive the 2x1 companion ticket on each anniversary of your participating Banamex Card upon meeting the minimum required points accumulation in the last 12 months (regardless of whether you redeem them beforehand). Purchases in interest-free months do not accumulate points.
  • This applies only to the Cardholder. The flight certificate is personal and non-transferable. The buyer and traveler of the base airline ticket must be the cardholder to whom the flight certificate was granted and must pay the total amount of the base airline ticket plus applicable taxes and fees using the participating Banamex credit card. An issuance fee of $300 MXN will be charged for each ticket purchased. The passengers on the reservation must travel together to the same destination and with the same itinerary (date, time, and airline). Once the reservation is confirmed and the tickets are issued, they are non-transferable and non-refundable, and changes or cancellations are not allowed. The certificate number granted to the cardholder only applies to obtain a one-time 2x1 through the program's Reservation System. Group travel is not allowed.
  • Group travel is defined as more than two people with flight certificates traveling together on the same dates and to the same destination, using more than one certificate. The cardholder must consider that during mid and low season it is necessary to purchase tickets at least 21 calendar days in advance of the departure date. For trips departing between July 1 and August 31, September 14 to 17, November 1 to 4, November 16 to 20, December 15 to January 5, and during the Holy Week season (which includes the week before, during, and after Holy Week), it is necessary to purchase tickets at least 60 calendar days in advance of the departure date. Open tickets with no return date or destination, and multi-destination tickets are not allowed. Once tickets are issued, refunds, itinerary changes, or changes to the travelers' names are not allowed.
  • Validity from October 1, 2022, to December 31, 2026.
  • Descubre Banamex Card: You will receive the 2x1 companion ticket as a welcome gift upon accumulating a minimum of 600 points in the first 3 months (starting from the account's origin) and on each anniversary by accumulating a minimum of 4,500 points in the last 12 months (regardless of whether you redeem them beforehand). Applies only to the Primary Cardholder. Destinations are only to beaches within the national territory.   • Explora Banamex Card: You will receive a 2-for-1 companion ticket as a welcome for accumulating a minimum of 1,300 points in the first 3 months (from the account's inception) and on each anniversary for accumulating a minimum of 10,000 points in the last 12 months (regardless of whether you redeem them beforehand). Applies only to Primary Cardholders. Check participating destinations and more information about this benefit at banamex.com/certificado2x1
  • Conquista Banamex Card: You will receive a 2-for-1 companion ticket as a welcome for accumulating a minimum of 3,400 points in the first 3 months (from the account's inception) and on each anniversary for accumulating a minimum of 25,000 points in the last 12 months (regardless of whether you redeem them beforehand).   • Beyond Banamex Card: You will receive a 2x1 companion ticket as a welcome gift upon accumulating a minimum of 12,000 points in the first 3 months (starting from when the account is opened) and each anniversary upon accumulating a minimum of 100,000 points in the last 12 months (regardless of whether you redeem them before).
